This adventure first assignment has been to study the interior layout of a two levels retail space, including it in a building that has to house also residential units and an ample underground parking. Soon the business requirements have suggested also architectural and engineering solutions, so that the mandate has been extended to the planning of the entire eleven-storeys building, to construction and project management, interior design and security management of the construction site.
The residential floors have a total amount of 28 apartments with different size.
The internal structures have to be dimensionally and numerically limited, to meet the different distribution characteristics of commercial and residential functions. For this reason, layout solutions and construction methods unusual for Malta have been proposed, thus the need to carefully organize the logistics of the construction site and the materials and equipment supply, while accepting the challenge to shorten the work’s duration and decrease the total cost of the project.
The confidence shown by the client has been the best satisfaction, assigning a greater responsibility in advancing this project in which we are still engaged.
