New Environmentally friendly light-weight beverage container recycling plant in Malta

BCRS Malta Ltd. The licensed Operator for Malta’s Beverage Container Refund Scheme has invested in a privately funded infrastructure for the collection of single-use beverage containers, making producers and consumers jointly responsible for the recycling of beverage container waste, towards a higher nation effort in recycling and litter reduction.

The project consists of a waste processing facility with the aim of recycling of used PET bottles and can containers. The factory is split into the processing plant at ground floor level, a meeting room and archives at mezzanine level and an office facility together with staff facilities and a canteen at first floor level.
